Incredible customer support! I ordered registration pins & tabs. The tabs are thick and really nice while the pins are strong, but elegantly thin and crafted really well. I’m thrilled to have them in my toolkit.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Hickman Design has a fantastic range of printmaking supplies, and I was delighted with the quality of the Essdee lino sheets and Japanese rubber brayer I ordered.
The service was incredibly speedy, delivery was quick, and everything was carefully packaged with obvious care and attention. It’s always lovely to support a business that clearly values both its products and its customers.
As someone rediscovering printmaking, I really appreciated being able to find quality materials in one place. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back for future supplies.

I found Hickman Designs via another printmaker online as they mentioned a new sharpening tool set they had discovered. I was fed up with paying to have my tools sharpened and as she mentioned she had purchased the EZ Care set from Hickman who were new to me I clicked on their website. Whilst ordering the sharpening set I found an amazing pair of Skull Scissors which I had to have along with some Cranfield safe wash printing ink. Hickson delivered free and quickly and I was really pleased with how the sharpening set worked especially as it will save me money. Will definitely use Hickman Designs again.

Prussian Blue – Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Etching Ink 75ml
Prussian Blue is a historic pigment widely used in fine art printing for its rich depth and strong blue character. Within the Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash range it provides a beautifully dark, slightly green-tinged blue ideal for atmospheric prints.
The Safe Wash formulation maintains the performance of an oil-based ink while allowing artists to clean tools and surfaces with soap and water. This offers a practical and safer alternative to solvent-based cleanup.
The ink prints smoothly with excellent coverage, allowing artists to achieve strong tonal depth and subtle gradations within an image. It works particularly well in landscape and illustrative printmaking.
The 75ml tube format makes it easy to store and handle in the studio, offering reliable performance for both relief and intaglio printing methods.
