Our Fabriano Medioevalis packs come in folded and flat formats, with 20 cards and 20 envelopes in our standard packs. We can also supply packs of 100 cards or 100 envelopes on request. Choose the right blank cards for your project
Start with the format and the space your design needs. Folded cards give you a front panel for an image and an inside for a personal message. Flat cards give you one complete panel for an invitation, a thank-you note or a miniature artwork.

Understanding folded sizes: the small folded card opens to 130 × 170 mm and the larger folded card opens to 170 × 230 mm. Plan the front design using the smaller, finished dimensions in the table. The 90 × 140 mm and 120 × 180 mm measurements refer to the envelopes.
Match your print to the card
Measure the area that will receive ink and allow a border around the image. A design around 105 × 150 mm fits the larger 115 × 170 mm cards with a narrow margin. For the small 85 × 130 mm cards, choose a smaller motif and check the layout on a paper template before carving or printing.
For an edition of hand-printed greetings, make one proof to check the position, pressure and ink coverage. Leave room around the deckle edges and keep the fold clear. When decorating a folded card, put clean scrap paper inside to protect the message area.
Ideas for printing, painting and writing
Try a small botanical linocut for birthday cards, a carved stamp for thank-you notes, or a watercolour illustration for personalised invitations. The 260 gsm acid-free, mould-made card is made in Italy. Test your chosen paint, ink or pen on one card, build painted details gradually and let each layer dry before adding lettering or placing the artwork in an envelope.
