Thought Patrol drawn out rough on lino, still being finished.
Work In Progress
“Thought Patrol” examines the intensifying surveillance and censorship in Western democracies, highlighted by legislation such as the UK’s Online Safety Bill. This artwork underscores how every digital interaction—likes, views, and conversations—is meticulously catalogued under personal profiles. These profiles offer governments detailed insights into individual thoughts and behaviours, almost as if reading minds. As the online world becomes more scrutinised and restricted, “Thought Patrol” raises critical questions about the erosion of personal freedom under the guise of public safety, challenging the trade-offs we face in our connected lives.
