A postcard-size block for your own rubber stamps
The Michihamono Rabby Rubber Stamp Carving Block gives you a larger working area for drawing and carving a personalised stamp. At approximately 150 × 100 mm and 10 mm thick, this postcard-size block is useful for an illustrated motif, a small composition or a collection of separate shapes. It is made from TPR, or thermoplastic rubber, developed as a stamp-carving material.
Coloured faces and tracing paper
The block has a three-layer construction with colour on both outer faces. The coloured surface makes the areas you remove easier to distinguish from the design you leave behind. Both sides can be used, so you can plan a second design on the reverse rather than treating the block as a single working face.
Grid tracing paper is included for transferring your drawing. Use the grid to check placement and proportions before beginning. Keep important lines and lettering clear, and remember that the printed impression reverses the carved image. A test drawing on paper is a useful way to settle the layout first.

Plan, carve and proof your design
Start with a clear outline and remove the spaces that should stay blank in the impression. Work in small stages and make a trial print before refining the details. Checking a proof helps you see stray marks or background areas that still need clearing. Suitable stamp-carving tools and ink are purchased separately.
Use your finished stamp for cards, labels or repeated decorative patterns, choosing an ink suited to the material you want to print. The manufacturer notes that block dimensions can vary by a few millimetres. For a smaller working area, see the Card option on the original Rabby block listing.
