A0 Illustration

Spanning an impressive A0 size, “SYRIA HELLSCAPE” has been a labour of artistic endeavour for over six months. This design traces its roots to an initial concept and sketch from an earlier phase. With a panoramic sweep, the illustration aspires to encapsulate the multifaceted events leading to the Syrian civil war, while shedding light on every faction that lent momentum to the conflict. Once finalised, the piece will undergo a meticulous scanning process on a wide-format scanner and will subsequently be imbued with colour. The journey will culminate in the creation of a detailed screen print.

Drawing inspiration from the infernal and vivid hellscape paintings, this artwork integrates a contemporary spin. Additionally, the expansive illustration style of Ugo Gattoni served as a significant influence during its conceptualisation.
