Acrylic Dry Point Etching: A Glimpse of The Vietnam War
Harnessing a transparent acrylic sheet, I delved into the nuanced art of dry point etching. My chosen subject hails from a photograph of the Vietnam War. In this interpretation, I’ve intentionally pared down the finer details to accentuate the image’s central focus. A pivotal influence from my younger years was a comic titled “The Other Side” This poignant narrative, spotlighting the perspectives of soldiers from both factions of the war, significantly shaped my approach and sentiments towards this piece.
