Description

The Michihamono Knife-tool Right 4.5mm Japanese Woodblock Print Chisel is a versatile carving tool developed for clean, confident line work in woodblock printing and linocut. Made in Japan using high-quality high steel, the blade offers excellent sharpness and durability, making it reliable even on plywood and layered blocks.

The right-handed knife-tool profile allows for smooth, flowing cuts and precise control, making it ideal for outlining shapes, carving expressive lines, and refining carved edges. The slightly wider 4.5mm blade provides added stability while still retaining fine control.

This tool features a serviceable blade design. As the cutting edge shortens through sharpening, the blade can be removed and reset, ensuring long-term usability and consistent carving performance.

Fitted with a Sakura wood handle, the chisel measures approximately 110mm at the handle with a total length of 130mm. The balance and grip help reduce hand fatigue during longer carving sessions.

A protective cutting edge cap is supplied to help protect the blade during storage and transport.
