Find a Christmas gift for an artist or printmaker
Choose a first creative project, a thoughtful studio upgrade or a gift made by Hickman Design. Start with the recipient's interests and check what they already own.
Beginner kits for lino, screen printing and stamps
The Essdee 23-piece lino kit, Print Club London x Luckies screen printing kit and Rabby rubber stamp kit offer different ways into printmaking. Check each contents list: the Essdee kit needs paper or blank cards, while screen printing projects need a suitable fabric item to print on.
Discover Japanese woodblock printing
The Japanese Woodblock Printmaking Kit comes in Standard and Premium options, with carving tools, a hand-printing baren and starting materials. The supplied printed instructions are in Japanese. Terry McKenna's mokuhanga books make useful gifts for readers exploring the technique.
Premium tools and Hickman Design gifts
Choose the Professional Lino Printing Kit by Hickman Design for a fuller studio setup, or a Power Grip, Chicky or Pfeil tool set for someone building their own collection. Our Power Grip and Pfeil tool boxes have blank and personalised options. Boxes are sold without tools; check the product's making time before ordering a personalised gift.
Colour sets, books and smaller gifts
Caligo ink gift sets, including Soft Shades, suit printmakers who already have their tools. Browse carving and printing books, compact stamp sets, sharpening sets and Skull Scissors for smaller creative treats. Ink and tool sets are useful additions rather than complete starter kits; check current availability on each product page.
