Strathmore Lightweight Printmaking Paper Pad – 120gsm – 11 x 14in
The Strathmore 300 Series Lightweight Printmaking Paper Pad is a versatile choice for relief printing, proofing and practising new techniques. Its larger 11 x 14in format provides plenty of room for linocuts, block prints, test impressions and finished artworks.
Each pad contains 40 sheets of natural white, 120gsm paper with a medium-textured surface. The paper is soft enough to produce clear impressions when printing by hand, while remaining durable enough to absorb generous amounts of ink without easily breaking down.
It is particularly well suited to relief printmaking methods, including linocut, woodcut, block printing and stamp printing. The lightweight construction makes it ideal for practice runs and proofing a carved block before moving on to a heavier or more expensive paper for the final edition.
The medium-textured surface helps capture carved marks and printed details while adding a subtle character to each impression. It can be used with water-based or oil-based relief printing inks and is suitable for both hand printing and use with a printing press.
Made from high alpha cellulose wood fibre, the paper is acid-free, helping prints remain stable when stored and displayed correctly. Its natural white shade offers a softer appearance than bright white paper and complements a wide range of ink colours.
The generous sheet size also allows the paper to be cut down for smaller projects, cards, experiments or multi-image layouts. A practical and affordable option for students, beginners, workshops and experienced printmakers developing new designs.
