Awagami Washi – Japanese Lightweight Printmaking Paper – Bunkoshi Select – 70gsm – 43x52cm – Single Sheet

Awagami Bunkoshi Select Lightweight Japanese Washi Paper

Awagami Bunkoshi Select is a lightweight Japanese washi paper, ideal for artists and printmakers looking for a versatile paper for hand printing, drawing and mixed media work. At 70gsm, it has a little more weight and structure than thinner washi papers, while still retaining the soft feel and character associated with traditional Japanese paper.

This beautiful Awagami paper is a great choice for lino printing, woodblock printing, letterpress, chine-collé, drawing, collage and other paper-based techniques. Its lightweight but slightly stronger feel makes it suitable for detailed prints, test prints, small editions and creative studio projects.

Bunkoshi Select is especially useful for printmakers who want a Japanese paper that is easy to handle but not too delicate. It can be used for hand printing at home or in the studio, particularly when printing by hand with a Baren.
