Awagami Washi – Japanese Lightweight Printmaking Paper – Kitakata Green – 36gsm – 43x52cm – Single Sheet

Awagami Kitakata Green Lightweight Japanese Washi Paper

Awagami Kitakata Green is a lightweight Japanese washi paper with a soft green tone, ideal for artists and printmakers looking for a delicate paper with a subtle coloured finish. At 36gsm, it is thin, responsive and easy to handle, making it well suited to hand printing and detailed paper-based work.

The gentle green colour gives prints a softer and more distinctive look than plain white paper, making it a lovely choice for lino printing, woodblock printing, letterpress, chine-collé, drawing, collage and mixed media projects. It works especially well with black ink, earthy colours, botanical designs and natural printmaking palettes.

Kitakata Green is a great option for printmakers who want a lightweight washi paper that adds character without overpowering the printed image. It is suitable for hand printing at home or in the studio, particularly when printing by hand with a Baren.
