Fabriano Medioevalis blank folded cards give you a gently textured front panel for lino printing, screen printing, rubber stamping, watercolour illustrations and drawing, with room inside for your message. Matching envelopes complete each card for sending or giving.

The 260 gsm card is made in Italy using a cylinder mould process and is acid-free. Its deckle edges provide a decorative finish, so a simple flower, small landscape or single stamped image can become the focus of the front panel.

Ideas for your cards

• Lino printing: print a small carved design, such as a leaf, festive motif or simple landscape. Make a proof with your chosen ink and pressure before printing the full pack.
• Screen printing: repeat bold shapes, lettering or a simple colour design across a batch of greetings or invitations.
• Watercolour and drawing: paint a botanical sprig or small scene, sketch in pencil, or add pen details once the paint is dry.
• Stamping and mixed media: repeat a carved rubber stamp, combine a printed motif with a handwritten greeting, or add painted details in acrylic.
• Personal stationery: create thank-you notes, birthday cards, festive greetings or compact invitations with a handwritten message inside.

Practical painting and printing tips

Try the layout on scrap paper before starting. Keep a margin around the deckle edges, keep the fold clear and place a clean protective sheet inside while decorating the front. For lino or screen printing, make one proof to check ink coverage, detail and placement before starting a batch. For watercolour, build the image gradually and allow each layer to dry before adding fine pen details. Test your chosen ink, paint or pen on a spare card. Let everything dry fully before closing the cards, stacking them or putting them into envelopes.
