Screen Printing Supplies & Equipment
Build a screen-printing setup for paper or fabric with inks, squeegees and starter kits. Start with your printing surface and stencil method, then check the kit contents or individual components you need for your project.
Choose your screen-printing setup
For a first project
A screen-printing kit can bring the main components together, but contents vary. Check for a screen, a correctly sized squeegee, suitable ink and a way to make the stencil. Some kits include paper or fabric-printing supplies; others are tools-only and need ink separately.
Printing on paper
Select a screen-printing ink labelled for paper and a sheet suited to the intended finish. Acrylic screen-printing formulas can be useful for paper projects, but ordinary acrylic paint should not be assumed to work through a screen without the manufacturer's recommended medium.
Printing on textiles
Choose a fabric screen-printing ink and confirm compatibility with the fibre and fabric colour. Follow the specific curing or heat-setting instructions before washing. A paper-printing acrylic ink is not automatically washable on clothing. Browse textile and fabric printing equipment for this type of project.
Components to check before ordering
- A screen with a print area large enough for the design and mesh appropriate to the ink and detail.
- A squeegee that fits the screen and image area, plus screen-printing ink for the chosen surface.
- A stencil method: cut stencils, drawing fluid and filler, or a photo-emulsion setup with its required exposure and cleaning supplies.
- A stable printing surface, suitable blanks and space to dry the finished prints.
