Description
Strathmore Lightweight Printmaking Paper Pad – 120gsm – 18 x 24in
The Strathmore 300 Series Lightweight Printmaking Paper Pad is a practical and versatile choice for relief printing, proofing and developing new techniques. Its generous 18 x 24in format provides plenty of space for larger linocuts, block prints, experimental compositions and finished artwork.
Each pad contains 40 sheets of natural white, 120gsm printmaking paper with a medium-textured surface. The paper is soft enough to produce clear impressions when printing by hand, while remaining durable enough to absorb generous amounts of ink without easily breaking down or losing its structure.
It is particularly well suited to relief techniques such as linocut, woodcut, block printing and stamp printing. The lightweight construction makes it useful for practice runs, test impressions and proofing carved blocks before moving on to a heavier or more expensive paper for a final edition.
The medium-textured surface helps capture carved details, fine marks and solid areas of ink while adding a subtle character to the finished print. It can be used with both water-based and oil-based relief printing inks and is suitable for hand printing or use with a printing press.
Made from high alpha cellulose wood fibre, the paper is acid-free, helping completed prints remain stable when stored and displayed correctly. Its natural white shade provides a softer appearance than bright white paper and complements a wide range of ink colours.
The large sheets can also be cut down to create smaller prints, cards, test pieces or multiple layouts, making this pad a flexible option for studios, classrooms, workshops and home printmaking.
