The VersaCraft Real Black large ink pad gives you a straightforward black option for handmade stamping on paper and fabric. Focus on the shape of your stamp

Explore a repeating geometric pattern, a hand-carved name stamp or a small illustration on a greeting card. Try arranging black impressions with generous unprinted space around them, then compare that layout with a closer repeat. For a two-colour project, position a separate coloured detail beside the black motif after checking the arrangement on scrap paper. Test your stamp on the chosen material to assess the lines and larger areas before working on the finished piece.

Using the large pad

Lightly ink the stamp, make a trial impression and check that the whole design has received ink. Work on a stable surface and lift the stamp without rocking it. Let the impression dry before handling the printed area. For a batch of cards or labels, mark a light guide or use a simple positioning template. Consistent placement helps the stamped design look deliberate even when each impression is made by hand.

Paper and fabric projects

VersaCraft is a water-based pigment ink. When stamping fabric, heat-set with an iron and a pressing cloth, following the fabric care label and the manufacturer’s instructions. Wash resistance varies with the fabric and the heat-setting procedure. Test before decorating the finished item.
