Schmincke Aqua Linoprint Ink 20ml Set of 5

Experience professional-quality relief printing with Schmincke’s Aqua Linoprint Ink. Designed for effortless application and sharp, vibrant results, these water-based inks are formulated with natural binders such as gum Arabic to ensure consistent performance across a variety of relief printing methods. Whether you’re working with linocut, wood engraving, or block printing, each colour delivers exceptional intensity, maximum lightfastness, and a smooth finish.

Artist-Grade, Water-Based Formula

Schmincke’s Aqua Linoprint Inks are renowned for their fluid consistency and easy handling. This water-based formulation incorporates organic and inorganic pigments, providing rich colour saturation and durable prints. The use of gum Arabic as a binder supports excellent pigment dispersion, so your carved designs transfer with remarkable clarity. Artists can enjoy the convenience of a water-soluble ink that cleans up easily and offers controlled open-times for fine detailing.

Fast Drying and Wipe-Resistant

One of the standout features of Schmincke Aqua Linoprint Ink is its quick drying capability. Prints become wipe-resistant in approximately 15 minutes, letting you continue working without prolonged wait times. This is particularly helpful when producing multiple layers or prints in a single session, as you can confidently handle or move your prints to the next stage sooner. With less risk of smudging and accidental smears, your finished artwork retains a crisp, professional look.

Superb Lightfastness and Colour Brilliance

Lightfastness is a crucial consideration for any artist aiming to create enduring works. Schmincke’s strict quality standards ensure that these inks achieve maximum lightfastness (4 and 5 stars), preserving the vibrancy and exactness of each hue over time. This means your prints will maintain their original depth and detail, even when displayed in well-lit environments. The inclusion of both organic and inorganic pigments lends each colour a distinct richness that stands the test of time.

Versatile Application Across Surfaces

The fluid nature of Schmincke Aqua Linoprint Inks makes them suitable for a range of substrates, including paper, felt, cardboard, and wood. Whether you’re producing intricate designs on fine art paper or experimenting with large-scale prints on heavier stock, the inks spread evenly and deliver clear, defined lines. In addition to linocut, they are also well-suited to other relief methods such as wood engraving, ensuring flexibility for artists who like to explore multiple printmaking techniques.
