The Michihamono Knife-tool Right 6.0mm Japanese Woodblock Print Chisel is designed for broader line work and confident cutting in woodblock printing, mokuhanga, and linocut. Crafted in Japan from robust high steel, the blade provides excellent strength and sharpness for demanding carving tasks.
The wider right-handed knife-tool profile is ideal for bolder outlines, decisive cuts, and refining edges around larger carved areas. Despite its width, the blade remains responsive and controlled, making it suitable for expressive carving styles.
Like other Michihamono tools, the blade can be removed and reset as it shortens through repeated sharpening, helping to extend the lifespan of the tool and maintain consistent cutting performance.
The chisel is fitted with a Sakura wood handle, measuring approximately 110mm in handle length and 130mm overall. The balanced construction supports steady hand control and reduced fatigue during extended use.
A protective cutting edge cap is included, helping to keep the blade sharp and safe when the tool is not in use.
