I found Hickman Designs via another printmaker online as they mentioned a new sharpening tool set they had discovered. I was fed up with paying to have my tools sharpened and as she mentioned she had purchased the EZ Care set from Hickman who were new to me I clicked on their website. Whilst ordering the sharpening set I found an amazing pair of Skull Scissors which I had to have along with some Cranfield safe wash printing ink. Hickson delivered free and quickly and I was really pleased with how the sharpening set worked especially as it will save me money. Will definitely use Hickman Designs again.

More drying space for a smaller studio
Keep your next print run organised without taking over your worktop. The Hickman A4 Stackable Print Drying Rack provides five separate horizontal shelves in a compact unit, ideal for home studios, small workshops and shared creative spaces.
Each shelf accommodates one sheet up to A4 (210 × 297mm). Use one rack for smaller projects or add matching units to expand your drying space within the same footprint.
Modular, interlocking construction
Made from 3mm MEDITE MDF, the closely fitting interlocking sections create a firm structure once assembled. Shaped side panels and locating lips allow matching rack units to sit together when stacked.
Supplied flat packed for self-assembly
Each rack in your selected pack is supplied unassembled with five shelves and separate stacking lips. A small rubber or wooden mallet helps seat the joints; the strong interlocking fit holds the rack together without glue. For added strength and longevity, we recommend a small dab of wood glue at the joints.
- Work on a flat surface and carefully align the shelf tabs with the matching slots in the side panels.
- Gently tap the interlocking sections into place using a small rubber or wooden mallet. Work evenly and avoid forcing the panels.
- Fit the separate locating lips along the inside lower edges of the side panels. These lips locate the rack on the unit below when stacking. Glue is optional; a small dab of wood glue is recommended for added strength and longevity. If using glue, allow it to cure fully before stacking.
- The interlocking shelf joints are strong without glue. For added strength, longevity and a more permanent assembly, apply a small dab of wood glue to these joints during assembly.
