Michihamono EZ Care Sharpening Cloths – Replacement Set (x3)
The Michihamono EZ Care Sharpening Cloths are replacement polishing cloths designed specifically for use with the EZ Care Lino & Wood Carving Tool Sharpening Set. This pack includes three abrasive-impregnated cotton cloths that restore and maintain a razor-sharp edge on carving tools without the complexity of traditional sharpening stones.
Unlike whetstones that require water, slurry, and careful technique, EZ Care cloths are simple to use. Each cloth is pre-loaded with fine abrasive and wax, meaning no additional polishing compounds or sharpening pastes are required. Simply use the cloth with the EZ Care sharpening plate to polish and refine the cutting edge of lino or wood carving tools.
The abrasive used in the cloth provides an extremely fine finishing action, comparable to an ultra-polishing grit of approximately #8,000 or finer. This makes it ideal for maintaining the edge of carving tools after sharpening, helping tools glide smoothly through lino, wood, and other carving materials.
Durability comes from the abrasive being impregnated directly into the cotton fabric. Even when the cloth darkens during use, the polishing particles remain active until the cloth eventually wears through. For best performance, the cloth should not be washed, as cleaning can remove the embedded abrasive and reduce the sharpening effect.
These cloths are intended as replacement consumables for the EZ Care sharpening system. While the cloth itself can be used independently, the EZ Care plate makes sharpening much easier and more consistent, particularly when polishing curved carving gouges.
