The Michihamono Flat (Aisuki) 3.0mm Japanese Woodblock Print Chisel is a versatile carving tool suited to both fine detail work and broader surface refinement. Forged from durable high steel, the blade offers excellent sharpness and edge retention, making it particularly effective for woodblock printing on plywood and other harder carving surfaces.
The flat Aisuki profile, combined with a subtly rounded cutting edge, allows the tool to glide smoothly across the surface, making it ideal for levelling backgrounds, cleaning edges, and refining carved planes without digging in too aggressively.
One of the key advantages of this chisel is its serviceable design. As the blade wears through repeated sharpening, it can be removed and reset, helping to maximise the lifespan of the tool and maintain consistent performance over time.
