Build a sunny stamped pattern

Try a row of small suns across a postcard, scattered fruit motifs on a gift tag, or a simple flower pattern on a fabric project. For a two-colour composition, consider separate blue or green impressions alongside the yellow rather than mixing ink on the pad. Leave a little space between repeated motifs so the rhythm of the design remains easy to read. Make a sample on your chosen material first to judge how the yellow looks once dry.

Using the large pad

Lightly ink the stamp, make a trial impression and check that the whole design has received ink. Work on a stable surface and lift the stamp without rocking it. Let the impression dry before handling the printed area. Keep a test sheet beside your work to compare spacing and ink coverage as you go. VersaCraft is a water-based pigment ink. When stamping fabric, heat-set with an iron and a pressing cloth, following the fabric care label and the manufacturer’s instructions. Wash resistance varies with the fabric and the heat-setting procedure. Test before decorating the finished item.
