Create a brown-toned stamped composition

Explore tree, acorn or woodland motifs on cards, or try a repeated shape around the edge of a paper gift label. Chocolate is also an interesting colour to test for hand-carved lettering when you want to compare brown with a conventional black impression. Place separate green or yellow elements beside it for an autumn or botanical theme. The finished appearance depends on the material, so compare a sample on your chosen paper or fabric before committing to a larger design.

Using the large pad

Lightly ink the stamp, make a trial impression and check that the whole design has received ink. Work on a stable surface and lift the stamp without rocking it. Let the impression dry before handling the printed area. Keep the first successful impression as a reference while stamping a batch of tags or cards. Comparing each piece with that sample helps you maintain a consistent arrangement without relying on memory.

Paper and fabric projects

VersaCraft is a water-based pigment ink. When stamping fabric, heat-set with an iron and a pressing cloth, following the fabric care label and the manufacturer’s instructions. Wash resistance varies with the fabric and the heat-setting procedure. Test before decorating the finished item.
