Develop a leaf or garden-inspired design

Start with one leaf shape and rotate it between impressions to create a loose wreath or a repeating border. Spring Green also lends itself to ideas for garden labels, seasonal greetings and patterned wrapping. If you want another colour in the design, try a separate red flower or yellow detail alongside the green leaves. Plan the positions on scrap paper first, then check the colour on the material you intend to stamp before making the final piece.

Using the large pad

Lightly ink the stamp, make a trial impression and check that the whole design has received ink. Work on a stable surface and lift the stamp without rocking it. Let the impression dry before handling the printed area. Vary the direction of a repeated leaf to build a pattern from a single stamp. Leaving some areas unprinted can make a simple botanical composition feel less crowded and easier to arrange.

Paper and fabric projects

VersaCraft is a water-based pigment ink. When stamping fabric, heat-set with an iron and a pressing cloth, following the fabric care label and the manufacturer’s instructions. Wash resistance varies with the fabric and the heat-setting procedure. Test before decorating the finished item.
