Essdee Scraperboard Sheets
Unleash Your Creativity:
Essdee Fine Quality Scraperboard is the premium choice for illustrators and professional artists across the globe. Each sheet is meticulously coated with china clay, ensuring an impeccably smooth surface that’s then over-printed with rich black ink. This foundation sets the stage for your artistic expression.
Precision and Clarity in Every Stroke:
This scraperboard is uniquely engineered to allow for precise and clear engraving. By using a sharp scraper tool, you can effortlessly carve through the black ink to reveal the striking white layer beneath. This action enables the creation of vibrant, high-contrast images that captivate and enchant. Engraving feels as intuitive and straightforward as drawing with a pencil, making it accessible and enjoyable for artists of all skill levels.
Ideal for Detailed Work and Airbrushing:
Essdee Scraperboard not only excels in traditional engraving techniques but also serves as an excellent medium for airbrushing. Its super-smooth surface allows you to work in extremely fine detail, which is especially appreciated in professional settings where precision is paramount.
Versatile and Re-workable:
The scraperboard offers extreme contrast with dense black and pure white areas, providing a dramatic effect that enhances any artwork. Additionally, the boards can be coloured and reworked to open up many interesting artistic possibilities. This feature is particularly valued by commercial artists who seek to add sparkle and ensure perfect reproduction even on lower-quality papers.
