Choose a working width that suits the area you need to cover and the space available on your inking slab. A broad roller can cover larger sections, while a narrower tool gives more room to work around separate colour areas. The aim is a thin, even film that leaves the carved recesses clear.

Working with this product

Start with a modest amount of relief ink on a smooth inking surface. Roll it out evenly before moving to the block, then build coverage through controlled passes rather than pressing heavily. Too much ink can bridge small cuts and obscure detail. Make a proof on your chosen paper and inspect both the solid areas and fine lines before changing the ink load. The roller applies ink; a baren or printing press supplies the pressure that transfers the image to paper.

Choosing and using this format

Measure the inked area of your block before choosing a roller width. The tool should also fit comfortably on your inking surface, with enough space to distribute ink without running over the edges. For separate colours, plan how you will keep the roller and slab clean between passes. A suitable width helps you work consistently, but careful ink preparation remains essential to the printed result.

Product details

Working width: 8 in (203.2 mm)

Size: 8 Inch

Suitable for: Relief printing, Lino printing

Roller material: Hard rubber

Care and storage

Clean the equipment promptly after each printing session. Avoid leaving a roller resting on its rubber surface for long periods. Reserve a clean area for handling paper and completed prints. Follow the cleaning instructions for the ink you use.

Helpful guides

Choosing a roller: width and hardness · Inking your linocut block

Working width: 8 in (203.2 mm)

Suitable for: Relief printing, Lino printing

Roller material: Hard rubber

Handle material: Wood

Compatible inks: Water-based relief inks, Oil-based relief inks

[190,121,80,63,148,153
359
post-32882","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-art-products-under-30","product_cat-christmas","product_cat-lino-printing-supplies","product_cat-equipment","product_cat-brayers","product_cat-woodblock-printing-tools-supplies","product_tag-beginner","first","instock","sale","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
